Bowling The Newcomers Bowling League has been a joint activity of Newcomers & Plus 3s for about 25 years - - it is fun, healthful, and a great opportunity to socialize. About 80 of our members are involved and 45 to 50 of them bowl at the Capri Valley Lanes every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from September through April. The cost for 3 games is $11.00. Regular bowlers also pay $30 in September to cover the cost of incidentals and lunch & prizes at the year-end wind-up Awards Luncheon. If you want to join the fun and bowl as either a regular on a team or a spare, please contact Richard Pringle |

Men's Golf The men's golf group is a joint activity with the Newcomers Club, which golfs on Wednesday and Friday mornings at various public courses in Kelowna. | Digital Camera Club
This is a joint activity together with the Probus Club of the Westside. The Group meets monthly beginning in September on Friday afternoons in the Westwood Retirement Resort (which has an excellent theatre with good projection facilities). Currently about 8 Plus 3 members (and about the same number of Probus Club members) meet to discuss experiences/share tips on digital photography.
**No meeting in November.
The next meeting is December 2nd, at the Westwood (2505 Ingram, West Kelowna)
For the Dec. meeting, two types of photos make up our assignment:
- People - totally open ended.
- Color enhancement of any photo(s) using whatever software you have available. Here it would be useful if you would give a brief description of how you did it.
If you just want to attend a meeting without submitting photographs (ie. just to listen and observe what goes on) then that is OK – just come along and decide whether this is an activity for you. You will learn more about your camera and what you can do with it. Contact : Reg Forrest |
